Placement Test

Students will be asked to write a standardized placement test one week prior to beginning a new semester. The results of this test will allow KLEC's staff to place the student in the appropriate class to best suit the student's needs. Students with past KLEC experience will be advanced to the next level based on their previous academic performance. A student may request to be moved to a different level one week after the beginning of a new semester

Attendance

Students are expected to make their best effort to attend every class. However, it is understood that schedule conflicts sometimes occur with undergraduate classes, graduate classes, and special events. In these cases, students should provide an official document stating the reason for absence in order to be excused from class.

Grades

Students will be evaluated attendance, homework assignments, quizzes and tests. The final grade will reflect the student's abilities in all areas of Korean language communication. A transcript showing the final grades will be issued at the end of each semester.
